Now that the energy levels have kicked back in, we’re starting to achieve a little more with our time in Brisbane. Yesterday Mum was disappointingly still not able to get stem cells harvested (nor today – fingers really crossed for tomorrow!) so was out with us most of the day again. This time we hopped on to the CityCat service down at South Bank, and travelled up and back down the Brisbane River. Possibly we may have jumped off and had lunch somewhere at some point, but one or the other of the kids was asleep most of the journey! Was nice though. We had lunch in South Bank instead (very busy in the water play areas but cafes not too bad), and went for a swim at the apartment complex when we arrived back home.
Today we had a bit of a cleanup in the apartment, before visitors arrived. I wanted to go to the Amanda Palmer ninja gig at the Gallery of Modern Art, so dragged everyone (except Dad and M1 – who was asleep) with me. Good walk down there, a great show by Amanda and friends, and I took loads of photos! The family wandered off pretty quickly (not really their thing!) and enjoyed the kids spaces in GOMA instead. Took ourselves to a nice restaurant for a late lunch, and wandered back home again – I must say, this staying right near South Bank is most convenient!
