Well, sort of. To teach in Catholic schools (in WA at least), you have to do this thing called Accreditation, which involved six two day courses (plus an essay on each) within the first five years of teaching (and then ongoing renewal thereafter). I did my first course over the past two days. Have a 1500 word essay to write on a subject that has so little relevance or interest to me that I don’t even know where to start. But anyway. The course itself seemed a little overblown – reckon they could have given the info in one day. Luckily two others from my school were there (who are lovely) and the iPhone hotspot worked great for the iPad. I took loads of notes yesterday, but basically none today, because it simply didn’t relate at all to the question at hand. And I was SOOOOO tired – worse yesterday than today, but really need an early night and a decent sleep I think. Not the best of states to be in when one has to sit and listen to being talked at for two days.
Ah well, that’s over now. Have another big meeting day on Wednesday, but that’s far more interesting, and then the WA Premier’s Judging Conference on Friday next week, which will be great. Otherwise, it’s REAL holidays!
