Today I took Miss Five in to get her hair cut. Not a trim. A major cut, because I’m sick of the arguments about combing her (very fine, tangly fly away) hair every day, which get worse in summer because the amount of time she spends swimming. I’ve been trying to talk her into this for a long time, but she didn’t want to look like a boy – I think I finally found the right arguments with "It’ll make swimming easier!" and "You’ll look just like Tinkerbell!" Heh. I was quite nervous about the cut myself, but am extremely pleased with the result. She looks more grown up, and her hair instantly looked healthier and thicker. It’s lovely! She didn’t like it at first, but by the end of the day she was very happy with it. Win!
After that we came home and hung out for a while, while making the day’s arrangements. We ended up dropping M5 off for a play date with her mate J, then I took the boys up to Mt Lawley to hang out at a cafe with , who I hadn’t caught up with since she returned from her travels. Was very pleasant, as usual! Wish she wasn’t so busy that it doesn’t happen more often 🙂
Hubby home tonight from his Tassie trip; tomorrow is cricket in the morning and then we take M8 to a choir performance at a local fair. Should be fun!
