I’ve been a publisher today!

Day started with an interview with a journo from the local weekend paper (with a pro photographer no less!) – the article will apparently lead the Arts section of the paper this weekend! After that it was full on delivery mode for me – two boxes of mailing to the Post Office (where I bought the rest of the parcel bags I needed to send the rest off), followed by deliveries of Worlds Next Door books and launch posters that took me (with various children in tow) from Port Kennedy up to Greenwood! Was quite fun, although sadly didn’t catch up with a couple of the people I delivered to, which was a shame.

Am now in final organising mode for (semi-work, with side track for family visiting and Neil Gaiman!) trip to Sydney, while still trying to get a bunch of stuff done for launch, Worldcon and all that jazz – busy busy busy!

    Yeah, yeah…new book, very busy…I get it…
BUT more importantly…NEIL GAIMAN????? Are you going to see him?
Colour me oh-so-green with envy *grin*. If I weren’t going to Melbourne for WorldCon I would so have put myself on a plane for him!

Heh, yep! He’s doing a thing at the Sydney Opera House on the VERY WEEKEND I HAPPEN TO BE IN SYDNEY!!! Serendipity 🙂 It’s him reading his story from “Stories” accompanied by orchestra and art I think!

I was reading about it on his blog and thinking “but…but…Worldcon is only a month later…WHY are you not coming to that when that is where I will be????”
        Tragic fangirl, that’s me! *sigh*

I would love to catch up, but the weekend is already packed 😦 Meeting Friday evening, all day Saturday, and half Sunday, then family birthday Sunday arvo (with Neil Sat night – I only paid $65 – could have paid more, could have paid less, for different seats!). My aunties are very good at scheduling us on spare time!
Only a couple of weeks til Worldcon tho!

No worries, thought your weekend might be packed but thought I would mention, just in case 🙂
Yes, looking forward to seeing you then!
