Baby, three weeks

This week has been a bit hard. Baby has been very unsettled, particularly between midnight and six am, which means I’m not getting as much sleep as I’d like. I’m trying to figure out if there’s something I’m consuming that is upsetting him – possibly it’s a bit much fruit (but I really need to keep up my fruit right now) and I’m worried that the occasional Berocca I’ve had (because I’m tired) is rebounding on him (creating a vicious circle!). It could just be that he’s on a growth spurt though – he’s feeding a LOT (as my nipples will scream at me every time he latches on) and growing before our eyes. So he’ll probably settle down in another day or two. I really hope so, cos I’m only functioning at the moment cos hubby has taken the early morning shift every day since we came home, but he goes back to work on Tuesday. Ack! That means no more morning sleeps to catch up, it means getting the kids fed and ready each morning by 8.15 for the school run, and all the other stuff hubby’s been doing. Really not looking forward to him going…

In other news, Miss Four has now done two ballet and two gymnastics classes, Master Seven is enrolled in guitar classes at school and has joined the school choir too. Looks like we’re focussing on the arts this year 🙂 And I’ll post this separately, but pretty much the only thing I’ve achieved this week is preparing for the 2010 Aust SF Snapshot, which starts Monday! Really looking forward to being able to get a bit more stuff done during the day!

Three weeks is usually right on schedule for a growth spurt (3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months is the usual pattern.) So I would guess that that’s it. I hope things improve soon, but meanwhile hang in there. Wish I could help, but I’m literally on the other side of the planet.
